How it works
Read and write — by radio.
RFID exchanges radio waves between an IC tag and an RFID reader to read and write tag information.
- The RFID reader emits radio waves
- The IC tag’s antenna receives the radio waves
- The chip information in the IC tag is converted into a signal and sent back from the antenna
- The RFID reader’s antenna receives the signal
- The RFID reader transfers the information to a PC or mobile device

Long reading range
Tags can be read from several meters up to tens of meters away. Unlike barcodes, there is no need to bring items close — even items out of reach or inside boxes can be read.

Bulk reading
A single burst of radio waves reads many nearby IC tags at once. Large volumes are processed in a short time, greatly shortening stocktaking.

Read what you can’t see
Items out of sight, up high or inside boxes can be read. No need to open cartons — work becomes more efficient.

Find items
Where is the item you need, and which box is it in? Follow the strength of the returned signal to pinpoint its location.

Resistant to dirt
Even if the print or surface is dirty, the tag can be read as long as its internal antenna works.
